An adult medical daycare is a structured daytime program that provides medical, social, and support services for functionally disabled adults, ages 16 and over. The program provides individuals with an opportunity to receive medical care during the day in a community-based setting.
Who can attend Caring Hands?
Our services are open to adults 16 and older who have medical needs, disabilities or require supervised care during the day. We provide services for disabled adults who need a higher level of care. We serve both aging adults and younger individuals with chronic conditions.
What types of services are included?
We provide skilled nursing, medication management, therapeutic and recreational activities, personal care, meals and snacks, door-to-door transportation, and more. Each program is tailored to support both physical and emotional well-being.
Is transportation available?
Yes! We offer reliable, door-to-door transportation with trained drivers who assist with mobility and ensure a safe, comfortable ride.
How is Caring Hands different from a nursing home?
We offer daytime support, so clients return to their homes in the evening. Our programs provide a cost-effective alternative to full-time care while offering expert support and a vibrant social environment.
What’s a typical day like?
Clients arrive in the morning, enjoy breakfast, participate in structured activities, trips and/or therapies, eat a nutritious lunch, and continue with programs or social time, an afternoon snack before heading home in the afternoon.
Do you provide help with medications?
Yes. Our nursing staff manages and administers medications onsite, ensuring they are taken safely and on schedule.
Do you accept insurance or Medicaid?
We accept Medicaid, VA, and private pay. Our team can walk you through eligibility and payment options.
Can I tour the facility before enrolling?
Absolutely! We encourage families to schedule a visit, meet our team, and see our programs in action.
